Scouting Summer Safety - Safe Swim Defense

Safe Swim Defense
Rules are effective only when followed. All participants should know, understand, and respect the rules and procedures for safe swimming provided by Safe Swim Defense guidelines. Applicable rules should be discussed prior to the outing and reviewed for all participants at the water's edge just before the swimming activity begins. People are more likely to follow directions when they know the reasons for rules and procedures. Consistent, impartially applied rules supported by skill and good judgment provide stepping-stones to a safe, enjoyable outing.

Burlington County Farm Fair 2014
farm fair

Calling all Scouters and Scouts (Ages 10 and older) it's time for the Burlington County Farm Fair,
Tuesday, July 15, 2014-Sunday, July 20, 2014. The Garden State Council Boy Scouts will still be there!

Each year more than 300 Scouts, Scouters, Parents and other volunteers participate in this annual event by
doing the setup, cooking, serving and cleanup for five concession booths and operating a Scouting
Recruitment Booth. We hope that you will encourage your entire Pack, Troop, Crew or Post to participate
this year - both scouts (10+) and parents - for one or more four hour "shifts". For many units and
families the Farm Fair has become a tradition as it is a great opportunity for fellowship between scouts, scouters and parents from all over South Jersey.
