Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints, where sorrow and pain are no more, neither sighing, but life everlasting.

Let us pray for all who mourn, that they may cast all their care on our loving God, know the faithfulness of their Redeemer, and find solace in the divine compassion.

Pastoral News
Friends,

In the St. Mark's tradition of offering splendid hospitality for our grieving friends, you are being asked to help with the repast following Tim Veney's service on Friday, July 29th. We are expecting a large number of guests from Tim and Loretta's many friendships, especially from their professional communities in addition to our own St Mark's community.

Jan Lipscomb is coordinating the event, some of which will be catered. Here is what is needed:

Vegetable tray and dip
Deviled eggs
Wraps or sandwiches
Summer salads (pasta or grain)  (we have watermelon salad coming!)

Beverages:  iced tea, lemonade,  orange soda, beer, or wine

Desserts:  brownies, cookies, cinnamon coffee cakes.

Help:  Cleanup team
    Drinks table "captains"
(to open wine, replinish soft drinks, etc.)

Please let Jan Lipscomb know what you are offering to bring or do.  Her email is deljan26@cox.net

Plan on bringing your dish or beverages directly to the Parish Hall through the parking lot doors.  We are expecting a number of guests who will be coming early for the viewing which starts at 9.

Thank you!
