Experience Holy Week and Easter as a family in a fun and meaningful way!

Dear St. Mark's Families and Youth,

As we enter into this special season in our Church, we invite you and your families to engage in the narrative of Holy Week and Easter in an intentional and exciting way this year.

On Holy Saturday, March 26, we invite you to gather with us in the Foyer of St. Mark's at 2pm to go on a walk through Holy Week. We will encounter many different characters and stories along the way as we follow in Jesus' footsteps. Led by our wonderful clergy and some animated parishioners, this will be a great way to prepare for Easter Sunday. The event will last until 3pm. Families and parishioners of all ages are welcome!

This Sunday, we will join in the great Easter celebrations and have some fun hunting for eggs on the lawn of the church! After both the 8:45am and the 5pm service, gather in the Parish Hall to get organized before the fun begins. To participate in the hunts, please bring a dozen eggs (hard boiled, or plastic with candy) and drop them off on the marked table in Baxter Hall before the service. Middle and High School youth, meet me in Baxter Hall at 9:30am to hide them! Don't forget your basket!

After we hunt for eggs on Sunday morning, meet us back in Baxter Hall to participate in the Salvation Army Grate Patrol outreach initiative where we make sandwhiches and put together bagged meals for our homeless neighbors in metro D.C. This is a fun, quick, and easy service project for parishioners of all ages and will be a great way to give back on this meaningful day.
I look forward to being with all of you during this special time at St. Mark's!

Sincerely,

Caroline McReynolds-Adams
