Remembering Julie Bernard, Host of KBOO's Art Focus
In the early '80s Julie's son, David, a TV journalist and reporter, encouraged her to volunteer for community radio. For a lark she took him up on it, and was immediately accepted at KBOO. Julie appeared in Studio A every Thursday for the next 25 years, finally handing over the microphone at the age of 80. Look for our special tribute to one of the most important arts journalists in our region later. Meanwhile, enjoy Julie's last show, which is filed with local art history, laughter, and love.
