Strategic Planning Updates

KBOO Members have given input to these important statements through a member survey that was open for 3 weeks in April and May and a member retreat that took place last Saturday, May 30th. Board and staff will review the comments, consider possible friendly amendments, and make a final decision together on the mission and vision statement for KBOO - to be introduced no later than the Annual Meeting in September!

Building Awareness and Ally Skills Against Sexism at KBOO

Ally Skills Against Sexism training at KBOO took place on April 19th, 2015 with Mike Klepfer, Monica Beemer and Delphine Criscenzo co-facilitating the latest of KBOO's Beloved Community training on understanding sexism and the ways it shows up at the station. The training was attended by staff and board members as well as volunteers who discussed for four hours key concepts, and real life examples of sexist encounters at the station.

A lot of time was also devoted to thinking up ways we can eliminate sexism at KBOO and the following conversation between Mike Klepfer and Delphine Criscenzo discusses some of them.

We'll be broadcasting that radio, on a show called The Radio Signal every Monday from 7-8pm, starting on June 1st.
