RECOVER UNSAVED EXCEL AND WORD DOCUMENTS


 Have you ever closed an Excel or Word document and forgotten to save it? It's easy to recover it.

 

Go to File>Recent>Recover Unsaved Workbooks (or Documents).

How to make sure the SQL Agent restarts after a server reboot
 
We've seen some instances where backups have stopped running because the SQL Agent doesn't always restart after a server reboot.
 
Follow these steps to make sure this doesn't happen to you:
  1. Check the SQL Server Agent service after a server reboot and insure that it has restarted.
  2. If it hasn't, select the service and then select the 'Start the service' option on the right side of the window pane.
  3. Check the Startup Type and make sure it is set to Automatic.
