The Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 release date is set for April 2016. With it comes the expanded features, new functionality and of course overall improvement to the user experience and business usage that we come to expect from the latest and greatest software version.

Here are just a few of the new enhancements:

More "All in One" Document Viewers: with the addition of inventory, sales and project expenses.

Export Numbers: numbers that are exported from Smartlists to Excel will now be formatted as numbers rather than text.

Exception Reporting: build more comprehensive exception reports when running budgets, and print and display accounts that aren't set-up in GP 2016.

MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 2005 SUPPORT ENDED 4/12/16

If you are still running SQL Server 2005, you will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. We strongly advise you move to a supported SQL version right away.

SEND IMPORTANT MESSAGES TO GP USERS

NEW FEATURE IN GP 2013 R2

If you are tired of running around the office begging users to log out of GP, then this tip is for you.

Click on Administration>Utilities>Send Users a Message.
Select the users or company. You can use the blue drop- down arrow to select by company.
Choose the delivery option. If you want a Pop-up, select "Notification Message".
Type your message.
Hit send.
