PowerSchoolPowerSchool Update

News NCVPS will transition to PowerSchool for its registration process during the summer of 2013.  Schools will continue to use our registration system for Summer 2013 course registration and grade delivery, as usual.  However, Fall 2013, Yearlong 13-14 and Spring 2014 class registration will be transitioned to the PowerSchool system in June/July.  For these affected semesters, NCVPS will begin enrollment in the current registration system on March 1st, then all of its registration data will be imported into PowerSchool during the Year-End-Transition (YET) process.  After July, schools will begin using PowerSchool to enroll for NCVPS courses.

The PowerSchool system will include enrollment and reporting features for NCVPS registration.  NCVPS is working closely with Power School administrators to assure the initial NCVPS data requirements are met to make the transition as seamless as possible.

We will send updates in the days ahead to include training information from the PowerSchool team. NCVPS is excited by this partnership and the enhanced registration processes and data management of NCVPS enrollments.

News

Registration for NCVPS courses is now open for the 2013 - 2014 school year.  DPI has not released your new allotment totals yet.  Currently, we started you off with your allotment totals that you had for the 2012-2013 school year.  We will adjust when the new numbers come in, which should be soon.  You will likely see an increase in your allotment totals after the adjustment.

With new legislation in 2012, schools will not need to request additional funds for the academic school year 2013-14. If they exceed their projection, funds will automatically become available to cover additional enrollments. A revenue reserve is available to all schools and other State funding sources are now available to cover additional enrollment needs.

If you have any difficulties, please open a ticket at the Virtual Support Center here: http://www.help.ncvps.org/
