New Orbit & Reformer Classes - February won't only mark the completion of 31 days of resolution-holding-progress, we'll also be launching Core Reformer & Orbit Fusion classes on Tuesdays: 10am Orbit/Core Fusion, 11am & 12pm Core Reformer, & Thursdays: 9 & 10am Orbit/Core Fusion, 11am Core Reformer.

 LAB5 High5 Maree O'Sullivan
Started at LAB5: August 3rd, 2012. I had just moved back from New York, & was looking for a place to workout. I was not looking forward to a "regular" gym. A friend, Megan M., recommended I try LAB5---I was hooked after my first class!
Favorite workouts? Strength & Conditioning, Power Reformer, & TRX--I love the lunges in TRX, with one foot in the strap -- it kills. I also love all of the ab work on the reformer - mainly because this is so hard for me.
Hobbies? Since moving home, & out of our small NY kitchen, I have really taken up cooking, usually blasting music, & drinking cocktails while I cook. LAB5 is definitely a hobby now. I also love Bikram yoga. AND to counteract my time at LAB5, I love eating out & trying new restaurants.
Perfect day off? My perfect day off would be having a mellow morning with coffee, a walk with the dog, a LAB5 visit (of course), & then dinner with my husband--at home or at a new place we haven't eaten out at yet.
Pets? I have a 12 1/2 year old black lab, Toby -- don't tell my husband, but he's the true love of my life!!!! HA!
LAB5 Fitness Fix
I always had intermittent pain in my upper back, & shoulder area - my trapezius area. I had always contributed it to "that being where I kept my stress". It was pretty consistent, annoying more so. After being at LAB5 for a few weeks I noticed the pain started getting better. I definitely noticed I was taking less ibuprofen -- which was on almost a daily basis. I had even tried new types of pillow, & thought about a new mattress. Now, I just have pain in other areas - thanks to LAB5 (all good, sore muscle pain)!!

Who Knew?!
More Omega-3s = fewer lbs?
Omega-3 fatty acids are smart for your heart, but they may also help trim your waistline. According to a recent study from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, consuming omega-3s may increase the thermic effect of other foods you eat. Omega-3s are present in many foods, but seafoods are a great, healthy source.

Founder's Corner
New Year, Renewed Motivation
As we start the New Year it's a great time to establish your fitness goals for 2013. In order to achieve the results you desire we have found from our personal (and member experiences) that you need to visit LAB5 three or more times per week--while following a good healthy lifestyle with your daily diet. Without watching what you eat it becomes very difficult to achieve your fitness goals.
We offer a complimentary tracking form each month to help you with your fitness and health goals. LAB5 is all about long-term fitness and health success and we attempt to avoid short-term fixes.
We offer a variety of classes and a flexible schedule to meet your needs. There are so many great instructors and classes to pick from. Try some new ones this year!
As you read, we also have some new and exciting classes that we will be introducing throughout the year. Stay tuned for further information.
We are so thankful for the amazing members here at LAB5 and look forward to our community continuing to grow. It's been a great privilege for us to meet and get to know so many nice people!

Classes are filling up fast each week and we strongly encourage you to book your classes at least a week in advance. We still have room to grow with additional classes and will continue to add new classes as the need arises. Please let us know additional classes and times that would be of interest to you. Whether its weight loss, toning, balance, cardio, strengthening, core work, flexibility, or range of motion we are here to help you achieve your desired results.
Not everyone has the same fitness goals but we can tailor your workouts to get the results you want with the support from our talented staff and great instructors. LAB5 is all about helping you achieve the desired fitness results that are important to you. It's not about us, it's about you!
