EPG - Setting the Standard for Pumps & Controls Unequaled

EPG has worked diligently for many years to establish "best practices" with research, development, experience, and innovation. We take pride in our good reputation within the industry and being recognized in this manner. It's no accident that a large number of landfill projects today call for "EPG or equivalent" in the specifications.

Naturally, we question the notion that there is an equivalent to EPG's equipment. The quality, reliability and longevity of EPG products is proven and not only stand on their own merits, but in comparison to numerous imitators and inferior designs.

Here are Ten Questions everyone should ask when working on a project that specifies "EPG or Equivalent" equipment.

  1. Is the pump specifically designed, patented and constructed for solid waste landfills or is it simply a standard water well pump?
  2. Is the pump equipped with E-glide bearings and seal rings, which have been proven to outlast Teflon found in competitors pumps?
  3. Considering the bearings & seals, is the pump designed to withstand horizontal operation? Often times, standard water well pumps intended for vertical applications are used.
  4. Is the pump/motor encased in a stainless steel housing designed to force liquid over the motor from the bottom inlet screen?
  5. Does the pump feature a no-splice motor lead with chemical resistant jacket and waterproof fluid block at motor?
  6. Does the pump incorporate wheels at top & bottom for ease of installation and removal?
  7. Is the level sensor mounted directly on bottom center to insure accurate level reading and easy removal?
  8. Does the manufacturer hold UL file numbers and subjected to regular UL inspection for compliance to UL 508A/698A and other standards requirements?
  9. Are all control panels Arc Flash rated & labeled including SCCR labels for OSHA compliance?
  10. Are fuses used to provide Type 2 Coordinated Protection to protect personnel and equipment with SCCR rating of 30kA?

EPG understands that our customer's ultimate goal is to get maximum value without compromising performance. This is a philosophy we believe in as well, and it drives us to provide the best equipment and service in the industry.
