A big thanks to everyone who attended the 2014 EPG Service School. The 2014 group included technicians, operators, and service people from all across the United States, along with EPG sales reps from Florida and Mexico. Special recognition goes out to our guest presenters, including Roger Dixon of Viridian Systems, Ltd of the UK. Thanks for sharing your expertise in pneumatic pumps. Also a big thanks goes to Ben Determan who served as Field Service Manager of Submersible Motors for Franklin Electric for many years and whom we've relied upon for 17 straight years of service school. Throughout the week attendees participated in classroom discussion, presentations, and hands-on training. We also enjoyed great food and socializing with everyone who participated. If you have interest in attending or know someone who might be next year please give us a call at 1-800-443-7426 and we will send you information on the 2015 class when it becomes available.
EPG and our partners attend several events each year. We will update the schedule below each month.
As always, EPG welcomes your feedback. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected].
Sincerely,

Over the years, EPG has determined and promoted many "best practices" based on trials, testing, and feedback from our customers. Here's one of many tips we hope to share with you in future newsletters.
Fasten motor and sensor leads to the pumps discharge line every 5' to 7' with straps or plastic wire ties on opposite sides of the discharge line and use padding between cables and any metal straps to protect the cable jacket. Doing so helps isolate the motor lead from the sensor lead which can be susceptible to noise and interference from the power supplied to the pump. This also helps prevent tangling and bunching up of the hose and lead wires during installation.
CAUTION: Do not fasten stainless steel safety cable as this will snap off straps or ties when pulling the pump out of the sump or riser.
