Home Revitalization
Greetings Everyone,

Faith in Action is THIS WEEKEND, and we have plenty to do. You can be an important part of our outreach this Saturday, February 9, from 8:00am-12:00pm. The youth group will be joining us as part of their famine experience along with team leaders Dan Pielak, Jeff Pielak, Fred Greer, Margie Heinz, Gary Mogensen and many other faithful servants.

As always, it is VERY HELPFUL for volunteers to RSVP.  Knowing our numbers helps us to plan projects, line up materials, and prepare lunch.

PS:Save the date for our next day of service on March 16, 2013.
Car Shop
Basic Car Repairs

Car Shop2 The Car Shop is growing in popularity and we can barely keep up with demand. We will be short one mechanic this weekend, so if you have been waiting for just the right moment to join this team, now is the perfect time!! No experience necessary. Our certified mechanics will teach the skills needed to get the job done.

If you are a certified mechanic and would like to be a project leader once a month in the Car Shop, please contact Don Grover.

Landscaping and Larche
OSLC youth are digging in.

Larche

Tim Ihssen, Mark Glasser, Barb Illman, and Dan Pielak are leading crews out into the local community. One group will spruce up a senior's yard. Another group will pitch in at Larche, a nearby farm that provides employment for the developmentally disabled. Anyone is free to join them.

Margie Heinz and her Wanna Be Green Thumbs are using their grant money from Pierce County's Ecology Department to upgrade the composting bins. Lots of help needed.

The biggest need for this project is PAINTERS. The second biggest need is EVERYTHING ELSE.  No one will be turned away :)

Be an Ambassador
Make Connections with Those We Serve

OSLC AmbassadorsFaith in Action is a great way to minister to people and build relationships. If you would like tag along with the work crews as an ambassador, that would be GREAT!! Meet the people we serve, engage in friendly conversation, and see what happens. Jesus is already there and invites you to join Him.

Email Tracy Schlatter if you want to be an Ambassor for one of the work crews..

LunchPutting faith into action can create an appetite!  Thank goodness Lee Mincey can cook!!  You haven't lived until you've had his famous Mac 'N Cheese.  Join us at 12:00 noon for a hosted lunch after a job well done. Our treat.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.  1 Cor 15:58
