FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL TIFFANY ALBERTSON
Dear Parent(s) and Friends,

There is light at the end of the school year tunnel. Please help us in encouraging your student to use his/her God-given talents to finish strong. We still have a couple of weeks to make use of study tables, peer tutoring, reassessments in many classes, finish projects, check for missing work and begin studying for final exams.

Thank you to all of our LuersKnight volunteers and to all who attended. The evening was very successful. Many of our students will be able to attend Bishop Luers next year thanks to the many generous donations and auction bids.

I will be meeting with all of my seniors in small groups next week. I will be taking the senior religion classes next Wednesday to meet with them. We discuss the good, the bad and the ugly for our school improvement process. We like to go to our experts -- the students who have been here the longest. Some of the topics we will be talking about are their classes in each of the content areas, school rules, school safety, Catholic Identity and their plans for the future. I will be providing them with details about the senior Mass, senior awards and graduation. Meeting with our seniors is one of my favorite things to do; I'm looking forward to my day with them next week.

Please join us for the spring musical, "Beauty and the Beast." I was so proud of the talent shown by our actors and actresses as I watched during the Seventh-Grade Day performance. You don't want to miss this one! Congratulations to our students and our directors. Job well-done!

Congratulations to our Academic Super Bowl, English team as they head to state on May 6. Go Knights!

GRATITUDE FOR A SUCCESSFUL 'KNIGHT AT THE CASTLE,' LUERSKNIGHT
Dear Friends of Bishop Luers High School:

LuersKnight is our largest fundraiser and generates funds that are channeled directly to academic programs and general operations. In addition, LuersKnight provides tuition assistance and helps offset tuition for every student enrolled.

While the end goal of LuersKnight is financially motivated, the event serves another purpose: that of fellowship. We came together to enjoy a good meal, incredible entertainment, and the great company of people focused on a common goal. The fellowship was also evident throughout the planning and execution of this grand event. It brings together parents, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the school who donate countless hours throughout the year to make this evening a reality. It is most definitely the Bishop Luers family in action!

Our thanks go out to all the very special people who make LuersKnight such a wonderful evening. We are blessed with an amazing group of adult and student volunteers who come together and share their energy, talents, and time. Thank you so much!

Thank you also to the many generous donors, corporate sponsor and program advertisers. It is because of your magnificent support and belief in our mission that we are able to continue the tradition of LuersKnight.

We are honored to be a part of this event. Thank you all!

INDIANA PHYSICAL THERAPY OFFERS FREE TRIAL
Indiana Physical Therapy is pleased to announce they are offering a free trial of their Sports Performance Program again this summer.

This program is focused on mobility, stability, and function. This program looks at asymmetries and errors in the way the body moves then begins addressing ways to correct the dysfunction. The goals of this program are to improve the functional movements and performance of each athlete.

This program is designed to work in conjunction with your athletes' team workouts not replace them. Indiana Physical Therapy wants to provide the training techniques and education that your athlete needs to progress in the activities they care most about.

Summer training will be at Bishop Luers High School. The program training days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays with late morning and afternoon times available. There will be no training the week of July 3 and the program will conclude the week of July 17. If you are interested in the program but these days do not work for your athlete, please let Missy Gumbert know and arrangements may be available at one of our clinic locations.

Please email Missy Gumbert at [email protected] if you are interested by MAY 22, 2017. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you.
