LETTER FROM PRINCIPAL
Dear Parent(s) and Friends,

I hope you all had a great Easter and enjoyed time with family and friends.

Congratulations to Meg Ryan. Meg was awarded the Fr. Tom O'Connor Award Light of Christ Award. This award is presented each March to individuals who reflect the strong values exemplified by Fr. Tom. Congratulations, Meg.

As we head into Spring Break, please remember that extended vacation days are unexcused. Please refer to the handbook or call with any questions. We are having issues with student-athletes taking off early for spring break, which is putting us at risk for having to forfeit games. Please consider your student's responsibility to their teams, as well as their academics. It is asking a lot of our teachers to accommodate make-up work for a large number of students.

Senior parents, please don't forget your Baccalaureate luncheon reservations. Bishop Luers will provide lunch for students; any family members who will be joining us will be paid for by the family. The luncheon is for family members only. We have had some former students ask if they can attend. As much as we love them, we are not able to accommodate former students, friends of students, etc. Please make sure that all reservations are restricted to close family members only.

Please be safe over Spring Break. God Bless.

Tiffany Albertson
Principal

LUERSKNIGHT - VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED
Dear Students and Parents,
Your gifts of time, talent and treasure are vital to the success of LuersKnight. It is a way to give back to your school and keep Catholic education available to all who choose to attend Bishop Luers High School. LuersKnight, the school's largest fundraiser has amassed close to $2,000,000 between the years of 2007 and 2015. The monies that are raised help each and every student in our school. We attribute this success to the many volunteers that dedicate their time to this worthwhile endeavor.

Please consider volunteering. It is lots of fun, especially when you enlist your friends and family to help. You'll also meet other Bishop Luers families and it is a good time, while helping a great cause...supporting LuersKnight!!

Father Tom O'Connor Light Of Christ Award
This is the tenth and final year of this award, created by the parish at the suggestion of the late Bishop John M. D'Arcy in memory of Father Tom O'Connor. Father O'Connor, pastor of St. Mary's from 1970 until his death on St. Patrick's Day, 2004, was well-known in the community for his untiring work in justice and peace and for his advocacy on behalf of the disadvantaged. The Father Tom O'Connor award is designed to encourage, in Bishop D'Arcy's words, "the next generation of Father Toms." Ms. Ryan was selected for her outstanding work in education both inside and outside the classroom walls.
