Dear Parents and Friends,
As we end final exams today, I wish each of you and your families the best of Christmas Spirit. May you have a blessed holiday filled with the joy of Christ's peace and the love of family. I hope our students and staff are able to relax and rejuvenate as they wind down from a busy semester. We are looking forward to second semester.

Location: Bishop Luers' Cafeteria Focusing on key specific preparations for the 2016-17 school year. Topics include: college readiness, explanation of dual credit vs AP classes, SAT/ACT, NCAA, use of Naviance, etc.
COLLEGE VISIT:

University of NW OH Juniors and seniors can sign up through Naviance.
FIRST-TIME DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS: The following universities will be here to register our current juniors/seniors who are taking a dual credit course during the second semester. You MUST have your social security number! Wednesday, January 6th - IPFW Thursday, January 21st - Trine
IMPORTANT SENIOR INFORMATION:Please make sure your student's name is spelled correctly in PowerSchool, including the middle name. We will use this information to print the diplomas and covers. If corrections need to be made, email Michelle North at [email protected].
SCHOLARSHIPS:
Scholarship offerings are updated on a regular basis. Please check online or in Room 144 for the updated list for selection criteria, deadlines and application information.
COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS OF SENIORS: If your student plans to apply for any type of financial aid for college (scholarships, grants, loans or work study), you must file the free online FAFSA report by March 10th. BLHS offers a free financial aid workshop explaining how (and why) to submit the FAFSA. This meeting is especially helpful for parents who are sending their first student to college or who haven't sent a student to college for a few years. CABARET KNIGHT - SAVE THE DATE! |
CABARET KNIGHT - January 10, 2016
Bishop Luers High School Show Choir will be hosting Cabaret Knight on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
Cabaret Knight is an event to showcase the talents of students and to raise funds towards the annual operating budget. The combined choirs, Minstrels, Reigning Knights, and the newly formed Concert Choir, consist of seventy-five singers/dancers, instrumentalists, and technical crew. Cabaret Knight supports these groups throughout their competition season and hosts the longest running show choir competition in the United States.
The evening begins at 4:00 p.m. with dinner served at 4:30 p.m. Performers will take the stage at 5:00 p.m. with the Bishop Luers Show Choir performance beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased by either contacting a Bishop Luers Show Choir member or Beth Savieo at [email protected].
Your ticket purchase includes dinner (pasta bar, salad, bread, dessert and one complimentary beverage). Tickets are available to purchase until January 8, 2016.
Cost: $15 Adults (10+ yrs.), $6 Children (4-9 yrs.), Children under 3 yrs. are free
