Although North Texas won't see snow this holiday season, drivers along the Dallas North Tollway are seeing bridge columns popping up between the President George Bush Turnpike and the Sam Rayburn Tollway. NTTA crews have been busy since summer and have finished 30 of the 66 new columns so far. These columns will support the additional fourth lane currently under construction. We are excited about the improvements taking place on DNT, and we hope you are, too.
With all of the hectic demands on your holiday schedules, it is easy to forget that it only takes a brief moment to be distracted. We want everyone to enjoy their holidays safely, so no matter what the weather or holiday, we encourage our customers to slow down and pay attention to the road.
As the year comes to a close, we are happy to announce that the fourth lane on the PGBT is taking shape. Concrete is now in place between DNT and Coit Road. Work began over the summer, and by this time next year crews will be putting the final touches on this project, which extends from DNT to U.S. 75.
As a reminder, slow down, stay alert and get to your destination safely. Did you know we have a Roadway Customer Service team that can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week? If you are stranded or need protection following a minor incident, call 214-224-2203 (it's on your TollTag) for help. As always, if there is an emergency, call 911.
On behalf of the NTTA, we wish you a season of wonderment, wherever the road takes you.
