Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The NTTA began initial construction in April 2010 on Section 2C, one of the northernmost sections of the project, located in Fort Worth near Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. In March 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation began construction of Section 3A, a $117 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project. Section 3A consists of local access improvements to Interstate 20/State Highway 183 (Southwest Boulevard) at CTP. Construction of the remaining project sections is underway. The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in spring 2014.

Construction updates in Johnson County

Lane shift on FM 917

Motorists will see a slight change April 30 in how they travel east and west on FM 917 in Johnson County. To build the bridge that spans over the CTP, the lanes of traffic will be shifted to the north side of FM 917 from April 30 until this bridge is completed later this summer. The shift will help to minimize the impacts of construction to the local residents who travel on this road. Motorists will not have to detour off FM 917 during this time.

Traffic will shift back to the original footprint once the bridge is completed. The CTP traffic will flow under FM 917 when the toll road opens.

County Road 910 permanent closure west of FM 1902 in Johnson County

On May 3 at 5 p.m., construction crews will permanently close CR 910 in Johnson County where it crosses the new CTP west of FM 1902. Access from the far west portion of CR 910 to FM 1902 has been maintained with the construction of Backage Road 2 off of FM 917.

Motorists will access the west side of CR 910 by following FM 1902 to FM 917, taking FM 917 west, turning north on to the new backage road. There will be no change in access for CR 910 east of FM 1902. For additional information, please contact the project team in Johnson County at (817) 202-9384
