Green tea extract contains potent anti-oxidants, called catechins, which help fight damage caused by free radicals.

It also helps create elasticity of the skin which, if used continuously, may help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

 

In some scientific studies, Green tea extract has been proven to neutralize damage done to the skin by UV rays. There is still much research to be done to prove it's effectiveness in preventing skin cancer but when used in a sunscreen, it enhances the effectiveness to protect against sun damage.
