MAP Holiday Helping Hand Program
We closed the year with our Holiday Helping Hand Program providing food, toys and gift cards for needy children living in California and Virginia. In California, hundreds of volunteers came together to wrap over 1300 gifts. These items were distributed to children from low-income families around the Bay Area through the following schools and organizations: APA Family Support Services in San Francisco, Cesar Chavez Elementary School in East Palo Alto, SAHA in East Bay, Selma Olinder Elementary School in San Jose, Alvin S. Hatch Elementary School in Half Moon Bay, and Pars Equality Center in San Jose. We are thankful for your donations as well as IKEA, the Central County Fire Department and the San Jose Branch of Toys for Tots for providing toys for this event and the City of Burlingame for providing the space for our gift-wrapping event. Thanks to Neda Nobari Foundation and other donors we provided 100 Grocery Store Gift Cards to homeless families at Cesar Chavez Elementary School.

In addition, MAP purchased meals for Dominion High School's Generosity Feeds event where 700 volunteers packaged 20,000 meals. These meals are distributed directly to more than 11,500 needy children in Loudoun County, Virginia.
