December 2014 - In This Issue:
SHAPING THE FUTURE TOGETHER

Dear Friends,

We wish you a blessed New Year filled with health, abundance and happiness. Thanks to your continued passion, commitment, and generosity in 2014, we have served thousands of orphans and impoverished children around the world. Read on to learn more about our work in 2014.

This year we increased our revenue by 60% while keeping our operating expenses less than 5% and our event fundraising expenses less than 20%. We will post our 2014 financials on the website by the end of January 2015. We are deeply grateful to all the volunteers, sponsors, businesses and individuals that made our fundraising efforts possible.

We look forward to continuing our work together in 2015; supporting many more children and providing them with opportunities and brighter futures.

On behalf of the children, we thank you and close the year by sharing the highlights of our 7th Annual Fundraising Gala in San Francisco.

With gratitude,

From all of us at MAP

MAP HOLIDAY HELPING HAND PROGRAM

We closed the year with our Holiday Helping Hand Program providing food, toys and gift cards for needy children living in California and Virginia. In California, hundreds of volunteers came together to wrap over 1000 gifts and to package over 100 food baskets. These items were distributed to children from low-income families around the Bay Area through the Bryant Early Education School, APA Family Support Services in San Francisco, Cesar Chavez Elementary School in East Palo Alto, SAHA in East Bay, and Selma Olinder Elementary School in San Jose. We are thankful for your donations as well as IKEA, the Central County Fire Department and the San Jose Branch of Toys for Tots for providing toys for this event and the Nasiri Foundation for donating the food for the event.

$2000 in gift cards were distributed to needy children at Guilford ES, Rolling Ridge ES, Sterling ES and Sugarland ES in Northern Virginia. In addition, MAP purchased meals for Dominion High School's Generosity Feeds event where 700 volunteers packaged 20,000 meals in less than 2 hours. These meals are distributed directly to more than 11,500 needy children in Loudoun County.

MAP IN THE WORLD
MAP's mission is to nurture and educate impoverished children to their fullest potential so that one day they can contribute and lead within their own communities; thus breaking the cycle of poverty.

We develop and advance our programs, one community at a time, by first addressing the children's basic needs through food, shelter, orphan care and healthcare. Next, we provide the children supplemental educational programs; empowering them to become self-sufficient members of their society and the world at large. Currently MAP works in 6 regions; the U.S, Iran, India, Cambodia, Africa and Afghanistan. Here are the highlights of our work in 2014.
