Director Kalil Cohen named local LGBT hero by KCET
|
Our Southern California Director, Kalil Cohen, has been named a "local LGBT hero" by KCET for his work founding the Los Angeles Transgender Film Festival, now in its fifth year. A short video about his work as a filmmaker and film festival founder is airing on KCET throughout June for LGBT Heritage Month. Click here to watch the video.
"My passion is building community through art because I believe in the transformative power of storytelling as a tool for self-empowerment, education and cultivating connections." Kalil Cohen is an artist advocate who uses his creative talent to organize and empower the transgender community.
