Orange and White Bath - from Half to Full!
The homeowners wanted to convert their half bath to a full guest. Angling the shower glass wall and wall mount vanity top created a comfortable entrance and large enough shower.
Playful orange accents in the field of white tile echo the oranges and reds in the kitchen next door, while the cobalt blue floor adds pop.
And staying playful, the shower ceiling gets the trademark Tracey Stephens broken tile mosaic treatment. Because the angled wall created an odd ceiling shape, we were left with a few whole tiles and some weirdly shaped bits. Perfect situation for random jigsaw puzzle shapes to create a uniform pattern!

Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater
Ever since I studied Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic Fallingwater as a student at Parsons School of Design, I have been wanting to visit. I finally made the time for a weekend getaway to rural Pennsylvania a few weekends ago. Well worth the trip especially if you stay at Hartzell House, the most delightful B&B ever.
The site is a stunningly complete integration of inside and outside, light and the absence of light, the sound of the water, the cantilevered architecture, the boulders, the open balconies - such utter genius! Click for more information about Fallingwater and to plan your trip.

"Chef's Table" : Dan Barber of Blue Hill
My husband and I have been enjoying the Netflix series "Chef's Table". We recently watched Episode 2 profiling the amazing Dan Barber. Through his Manhattan restaurant Blue Hill and Blue Hill at Stone Barns he is thoughtfully and profoundly challenging and redefining conscious eating. Watch the trailer!
