Open Concept Kitchen Remodel
~ Project of the Month
The old kitchen was shabby, broken down and dark. There was not enough work space for two cooks to work together. We fixed all that with smart moves: completely opening up the space, getting more light in, resulting in a bright and airy spacious kitchen with well-placed pops of color and multiple work stations. See Before & After photos and floor plans here.

Inspiration ~
During June I was out and about and found local inspiration at a designer showhouse and a tile showroom gala.

Mindful Living & Green Design ~
The Pope's Encyclical: A profound and important call to care for the entire planet!
As a Green designer (and an ecologically and environmentally-oriented human), I was thrilled to see the current pope take such a strong and moral stand on planetary stewardship. And I found his social media around the announcement stunning - examples:
"Each community has the duty to protect the earth and to ensure its fruitfulness for coming generations" and "Let us sing as we go. May our struggles and our concern for this planet never take away the joy of our hope". Preach it! Check out the flow of tweets from the Vatican here.
