Modern and Warm Kitchen ~
project of the month

Last month I showed you a Master Bathroom with the gorgeous Celestial Starry blue marble mosaic tile that was part of a larger town-home renovation project. This month I present to you the kitchen (before image is below) which now features off white cabinets, engineered stone countertop, blue grey backsplash tile, long plank cement look porcelain floor tile and pale blue/green/grey walls. The neutral colors provide a backdrop for the client's treasures from her extensive travels. See the new kitchen.

Inspiration + Mindful Living & Green Design ~
The People's Climate March in NYC, 9/21/14

The earth is not given to us by our parents.
It is on loan from our children.
People were lined up as far as the eye could see -- at least 25 NYC blocks long (2.5 miles) and it was powerful! True, one big march attended by 400,000 people will not change minds or policies overnight. But most movements for justice and social change have been catalyzed by mass mobilizing in the streets. I am hopeful that this collective action, and those that follow, will ramp up the pressure. The time for bold action is now.
