Repetition and unyielding pulse
NYC Ballet's Georgina Pazcoguin and Adrian Danchig-Waring on Robbins' GLASS PIECES
Some glimpses of GLASS PIECES as 2 NYC Ballet dancers discuss the piece.
This perfect and visually stunning work is a collaboration between Phillip Glass, who describes himself as a composer of "music with repetitive structure", and choreographer Jerome Robbins.  The piece is all about the simplicity and complexity of repetition.  The call and response of the music and choreography is brilliant.  Thanks so much to Fran Phillips for the gift of the tickets!
