Urge Governor Brown to Approve Market Match Budget Proposal!

With your support, BOTH the Assembly and Senate have approved a $5 million investment to increase access to California fresh fruits, nuts, and vegetables for low-income consumers!  Your support is needed to make sure Governor Brown approves the Legislature's budget funding proposal for the Nutrition Incentive Matching Grant Program, which would award grants to certified farmers' markets that double the amount of nutrition benefits (CalFresh, WIC, and SSI) available to low-income consumers.

You can also show your support by tweeting Governor Brown:

  • @JerryBrownGov, expand access to fresh & healthy food, pls include #NutritionIncentives #MarketMatch in CA's Budget!

  • @JerryBrownGov, help end food insecurity & keep our families & local economies healthy. Pls include #MarketMatch in the CA budget!

  • @JerryBrownGov, #NutritionIncentives, help children from low income families eat healthy food. Pls include #MarketMatch in the CA budget!

  • @JerryBrownGov, we can help end #foodinsecurity while supporting CA farmers & small biz with #MarketMatch. Pls include in the CA budget!

Thank you for your support,
