From Dr. Meyers

Greetings Enatai Families!

The virtue of the month for June is Patience.  What is patience?  Patience is quiet hope and trust, expecting things to turn out all right.  Patience is being calm and tolerant when difficult things happen.  It means showing acceptance when you or others make mistakes.  Patience is doing something now so that later it will bear fruit, like planting a seed and waiting for it to grow.  Patience is a commitment to the future.  This month we will be challenging your children to find ways to show their patience to others.

With much regard,

Audrey Meyers, Principal

Bellevue School District Survey

Dear Bellevue School District Parents and Guardians:

The Superintendent and Board of Directors would like your feedback on how the district is doing. We invite you to complete this anonymous survey and answer the questions based on your experiences with Bellevue schools.

  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QL6MZ9J

If you have more than one child in the district, you may choose to complete one survey for all of your children or you may complete one for each child. You can indicate which school(s) and grade level(s) you want your survey to represent. Each survey takes approximately three to five minutes to complete. At several points in the survey, there is opportunity for your additional comments and feedback. Once you begin the survey, you will need to complete it fully.

We will use your feedback to monitor parent satisfaction rates with schools over time. Results will be published each year on the district website. In order for the survey to be reflective of all parents and guardians, we need your help.

The survey will be open until June 16th. Thank you for taking time to help us with your feedback. If you have questions about the survey, please call BSD Communications at 425-456-4000.

Thank you for participating!

Tim Mills, Superintendent

Steve McConnell, District 1

Christine Chew, District 2

Chris Marks, District 3

Krischanna Roberson, District 4

My-Linh Thai, District 5

Bellevue Schools Foundation's Spring for Schools Luncheon a Success!

Many thanks to the countless donors, table captains, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone else who helped make the Foundation's annual Spring for Schools benefit luncheon on May 16th a great success. The event raised more than $630,000 for Bellevue schools and students, making it the most successful Spring for Schools

yet and the first time the event total has ever topped $600,000! All of us who care about our kids and our community are immensely grateful.

2014-15 Foundation Ambassadors

A great way to be more involved and learn more about the Foundation is to volunteer to be a school-based Foundation ambassador. Ambassadors facilitate two-way conversations between individual schools and the Foundation that serves them all. They help Foundation staff and board members to learn how each school's PTSA, principals, and teachers can be supported. Throughout the year, ambassadors work closely with Foundation staff to raise awareness of the Foundation and the difference our donors make for Bellevue students. Their volunteer role is essential in enabling the Foundation to fulfill its mission.

The following schools have open positions next year: Bennett, Chinook, Eastgate, Enatai, Highland, International, Odle, Tillicum, and Woodridge. If you are interested in serving, contact Megan Elmer to learn more. If your school is not listed but you are interested, please ask Megan about serving as a co-ambassador!
