Introduction to Upper School
Dear 8th Grade Parents,
The annual Introduction to Upper School event, which was initially scheduled for May 28, is now scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the shul balcony.
Details to come! We look forward to speaking with you about life and learning in the Upper School. We will have a group of colleagues with us who can give you all the relevant information. In addition to the principals, Mrs. Amy Rosen (Director of Student Life), and Ms. Molly Boynton (US Social Worker) will be joining us.
We hope to see you there and will be in touch with more information as we get closer to the date.
Mr. Scott Mattoon

Lights ... Camera ... ACTION!
The Middle School turned into Hollywood this week as the sixth-grade students wrote, directed, acted in, and produced their own movies.
This project was part of our BRAVE curriculum, which trains students to recognize, prevent, and defend against bullying. The students learned about both the complexities of communicating through this medium and how they can protect themselves and others from bullies. The movies were shown on Thursday and Friday afternoons to great appreciation. Our congratulations to all of the artistic teams!
Eighth Grade Announcements
This coming week, the eighth-grade students will have an opportunity to get a sneak peek at next year! Each student has been assigned to visit two Upper School classes over the course of the next week, based on their requests. We hope that the students will find these visits valuable as they prepare to enter the Upper School.
The eighth-grade trip to Washington, DC is coming up fast! Please make sure to have the parent and student form turned in by Monday. Also, please make sure that your child has submitted his/her roommate request form online.
Yom Orchim registration has been extended until next Monday, May 4!
Yom Orchim is next Friday, May 8! There is still time to register a visitor for your child. Remember, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends would make wonderful visitors! Please visit our event web page to register someone, or contact Ellen Pulda, firstname.lastname@example.org, 617-232-4452 x423 by May 4.
