Fall is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere which is always a good time to view the night sky with its crisp air. Many folks are also gearing up to capture Comet ISON as it makes it's way closer.  Be sure to check out Sean Walker's photo of a comet using the SkyTracker camera mount. Plus, this month we're offering special prices on our travel-size mounts-- perfect for those weekend get-aways.

Take photos of Comets?
Yes, you can! The SkyTracker camera mount makes it easy. This photo (taken by Sean Walker back in April) is a great example of using the SkyTracker to track while shooting. Sean captured Comet PanSTARRS as it swept past M31. He used a Canon 1000D DSLR with Nikkor 180mm f/2.8 ED lens. Total exposure was 12 minutes.

If you have a question for Sean (or want to post your own photo) visit our facebook page here.

ZEQ25_2013The ZEQ25
The new iOptron "Z" design mount puts the weight of the payload at the center of gravity allowing for greater natural stability. Given its payload capacity, this means the "Z" designed mount is unusually light-a nice benefit when setting up at a remote site. Other features include an adjustable counterweight bar to prevent obstruction with the tripod. And polar aligning is quick and accessible all the time since the polar scope is not blocked by the declination shaft. Click here for dealers in your area.
