Dear Friends,

Happy first days of summer to all.  For farmers, it means one minute less of sunlight a day and thoughts of autumn bounty so we'll start seeding broccoli, rapini, cabbage, cauliflower, greens and fall flowers to name a few in the next weeks. Meanwhile, summer crops are maturing, calling to heat up the barbeque for grilling corn, onions, squashes, even peaches and so much more to come! 

Fresh from the garden, straight to the grill.  Here's a 3 minute video on the basics of grilling with perhaps a hint or two for even the most experienced griller. 

                                                          

You will also receive a bag of stir-fry/mixed greens this week.  One of the fastest, easiest and most nutritious ways of serving these is a quick stir-fry after washing and chopping.  We like to do ours with good olive oil, a little garlic and a few sprinkles of red pepper flakes and then tossed with hot cooked pasta.  Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and viola!  A hearty side or main dish all will enjoy.
