How grateful we are for the bountiful rain we had last week. It was glorious to be in the gardens feeling the crops and trees soak up their life blood after months of barely getting by with water. San Diego is breaking out with swathes of greens of all hues across meadow and hills and beautiful to see.
This week's ingredients are full of color too. Purple potatoes, pink grapefruit, orange tangerines, broccoli, cooking greens, blackberries and even yellow guavas will all help you stay healthy and well for these extra busy times of the holidays.
One of our shareholders sent a message about of all things, the celery that was in her delivery last time. She said she sauteed several chopped stocks in a little good coconut oil until translucent for the first time and just could not believe how delicious and easy it was. She's now 'hooked' on celery!
