Dear Friends,

The days are getting shorter and all the crops are responding accordingly.  Seems just a few weeks ago one could see almost daily growth and now, when checking the gardens, it seems they're just sitting there.  But the narcissus are starting to bloom and their perfume fills the air when you walk past.  We're hoping we have enough of them over the next few weeks that all of you will receive at least one or two bunches of them.  They'll fill a room with their scent.

This coming Saturday is an event to benefit one of our favorite organizations:

It's going to be at Dunk'n Dogs Dogwash on 3056 Clairemont Drive, 92117 from 11 to 2pm.  Bring your dog (s) to get clean for Thanksgiving and half of the $20 fee will go the The Rescued Dog. Their mission is to find loving permanent homes to the many doggies in San Diego that need one. One of our dear volunteers and docents, Kelly, is one of the organizers and she'll greet you with her friendly smile.  

Edwina and Samantha, our Corgis will be dropping by to say hello to everyone.  Hope you can make it.
