Coaxing crops from the soil week after week is challenging enough through all these years but now it's starting to feel like making bricks without any straw! I kid you not, this heat wave has us flat out exhausted, the animals too, and we're cutting back on every single gallon of water we can. I've had visitors tell me many times their beliefs that they think we get reduced water rates and are 'subsidized' by the government (ie other taxpayers money). Nothing could be further from the truth for us dwindling numbers of family farms. We're a private entity and our existence depends on the products we produce and provide for our shareholders. We thank you one and all for your support and hope you're enjoying and benefiting from our end of summer crops.
We do so appreciate your referrals and donating your deliveries to one of our military families when you're on vacation (what's that?)
Save the date! On September 20th, we'll be hosting an art showing of four of San Diego County's premier watercolourists and artists here at Seabreeze. Hours will be from 10am until 4pm. This is a real treat. Framed and not framed paintings will be available for sale and there will be some true bargains! Fabulous for gifts or for your home.
