Dear Friends,
Between computer problems and the 'challenges' of harvesting and packing of the CSA shares in this miserable weather, we weren't able to get the ingredients list out to you yesterday. Humidity is expected to decrease somewhat today, that's a blessing, however the high temperatures are expected to continue and even go up, for the next few days.
Running a farm has many pleasures.. the entertaining animals, the pride of harvesting a crop tended to perfection, the sensory delight of smelling an heirloom rose..I could go on and on. Of course there's always the down side of things and I try not to dwell on them. But when the news came out yesterday that General Mills bought out Annie's Organics, a pioneer in the organic movement, it was another reminder we're in the fight of our lives for clean, nutritious and responsibly grown food..mostly by small farmers against all odds.
So thank you again to our CSA supporters, loyal year after year. If it wasn't for you,
well, I just don't know.
