Dear Friends,
Glorious Sunday morning. I walked through the gardens earlier, tending to things and taking pictures, wishing with all my heart that you shareholders could be here and experience the loveliness and bounty of the farm. As I was soaking in the beauty and sensuousness, I closed my eyes and could hear the hum of the thousands of honey bees greedily gathering pollen in such quantity they could barely fly. There are places in our dear planet that have been horribly desecrated however, this little farm is living proof that a little loved and cared for scrap of land can be transformed into an ethereal slice of heaven with food and fodder for many more than it's grateful inhabitants.
We will be preparing this week, aside from our harvesting and deliveries, for our Spring Fling this coming Saturday the 26th, from 1 to 3 pm. We do so hope many of our shareholders will come; some of you have already RSVP'd. Parking is very limited so we will be shuttling visitors to the top of the bluff. We have two local talented musicians coming: Adrienne Nims, flautist (among her many talents) at 1 and Tim Flood, guitarist, at 2. We do so hope you'll be able to come and experience the connection between the land and the people that produce the food that hopefully is helping to keep you well and energized.
Please note that some substitutions may apply from time to time. We'll let you know in your deliveries if anything needs to be subbed out...the way of a farm is always what's here to share....some folks think of us as a grocery store...We are subject to what grows and what's there to share...CSA SHARE means that...your support of the farm helps us grow what you need for health and appropriate to the season(s).
