Dear Friends,

To those of you that asked about the 3 baby ducks.  They are doing well, growing quickly, loving chopped Seabreeze lettuce and taking little baths.  As a shareholder, we invite you to set a time and come see them..especially if you have children.

Today is a regular Monday for us...harvesting, washing, packing and into the cooler with your produce and fruit.   I've told the crew (our two helpers) to leave as early as they can today as their families have planned events.  Kendall and I will cover the rest of it so they can have a little time off.

Your lemon verbena will make for a refreshing and cooling ice tea.  Merely put in a jar outside for the sun to diffuse the delicious taste, or pour a little hot water over - add to cold water after about an hour.    Serve with a little sweetener if you like and lots of ice.

The Rainbow radishes are quite good and not 'hot'.  Slice thinly into salads.

Basil is not a long laster in the refrigerator so make up an easy batch of pesto to store for later use if not needed soon.  Tossing good cooked pasta with pesto and a little Parmesan cheese with a mixed salad is a meal in itself>>>Basil Pesto.  May be made with sunflower seeds, walnuts or pinenuts.

All of your GreenStore orders are much appreciated and if there are items you'd like us to carry, please drop me a note.

Happy cooking and feel free to contact me if you need help or suggestions--and that includes your likes and dislikes..

I read all the emails.
