Come on!  How often do you prune your Eugenia myrtifolia right after it blooms, the way Martha Stewart does, in December, wearing your lipstick? - Anne Raver

Dear Friends,

Ever feel like there's been a thief in the night that stole a page from your calendar?  Where did January go?  I know the peach trees are blooming as are the narcissus and violas, the beds are tilled and planted, the snap and sweet peas are producing, the broccoli and cauliflower are forming heads, the laundry is done and I've made another 31 yummy dinners for my husband.  But the seeds haven't been ordered, the roses need pruning, the tool shed is about to fall down and I still haven't planned classes and tours for this new year.  Yet every morning, foggy or clear, I start the day with the crowing of the roosters and mentally check the list of all the things I want to get done, and am happy another day is here.

I used to enjoy listening to Paul Harvey when he was still with us and came across this on the Drudge Report..it's just a couple of minutes long and you might enjoy it...Farmers

We've added some new items to the GreenStore from a local company, Go Organics and the orders are starting to trickle in..we'd like to support them and hope you do too...delicious fruits, salsa, guacamole and more..

We're offering a 5% credit back to your account if you order $100 worth of goods from the Green Store.  It's easy to add items from the Green Store.. we appreciate all orders.

Happy cooking and feel free to contact me if you need help or suggestions--and that includes your likes and dislikes..
