Regular size CSA items: Red pears, Jonagold apples, 1/2 cut and wrapped watermelon, Valencia oranges, pomegranates, avocado, scallions, arugula or French sorrel, Swiss chard or beets, radishes or cilantro, cauliflower, cucumber, lettuce , salad, sprouts, and bouquet of flowers.

Dear Friends,
Joy. Such a tiny word, filled with so much. That's how the best description I can give of being in bed two nights ago and listening to the steady drip of WATER, coming down throughout the night. For once, it was a struggle to stay awake to savor the smell and sounds of everything on the farm being wetted down. The farm and foliage are being transformed from the lush green canopy of summer and brilliant fire colors of summer to mauve, silver, rust and gray green of autumn. Soon, more rain will be here..glory, glory.
Cauliflower. I remember as a child (sorry Mother), being served cauliflower with a 'Cream of Wheat' texture to it. Rule #1: do not over cook. It's actually delicious either raw or cooked and I like it baked. Here are some links: Cauliflower recipes
Here's some suggestions for items from our Green Store
1. Organic Carmel Dip for coating apples
2. Just delivered freshly roasted delicious organic, trade fair and shade grown locally roasted whole coffee beans
3. Mary's Air Chilled (meaning not washed in vasts of disgusting water) Whole chickens. I can stretch a whole chicken almost through the week for various recipes.
All proceeds from the Green Store go directly to the animal care and maintenance of the farm.
