Mentor Corporation has announced a new warranty on their silicone Memory Gel implants. This new warranty covers, in addition to implant rupture, capsular contracture.
Capsular contracture is one of the most common complications of implant surgery. Mentor's new standard warranty will provide free implant replacement if capsular contracture occurs during the first three years after primary augmentation. And, if the Enhanced Warranty is chosen (a $200 charge paid to Mentor), capsular contracture will be covered for up to 10 years after augmentation. In addition, the Enhanced Warranty provides up to $3500 in financial assistance in the event of capsular contracture in the first 10 years.
This new warranty is unbelievable. In addition to providing lifetime implant replacement for ruptured implants, Mentor is now covering a complication that has never before been covered in such a way. Now is the time to choose Mentor implants for your augmentation procedure.
