- Wednesday, Oct. 9: First Home & School Association meeting. President McKenna will give an update. Accepting nominations for 276 parent representative. Counselor Christine Soda will give an update. Also, info on upcoming events including the Freshman Tea and College Night. Spain Conference Center, 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 12: Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser for CHS RoboLancers. Eat breakfast, meet the team and have fun! Raffles, 50/50 drawings and great prizes! Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to buy parts to build robots for competition. $7 per person. Applebee's, 2501 Aramingo Avenue, 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.
- Monday, Oct. 14: Columbus Day. School closed.
- Tuesday, Oct. 15: PSAT testing fee due (9th, 10th & 11th grade). $15 in cash, check or money order payable to Central High School.
- Wednesday, Oct. 16: 273 Museum Day.
- Wednesday, Oct. 16: PSAT testing for 9th, 10th & 11th grades.
- Saturday, Oct. 19: CHS Open House. Know a great 8th grader who should come to Central? Invite them to this event. Parent volunteers needed. 9 a.m. - noon.
- Monday - Friday, Oct. 21 - 25: Trolley Car Diner & Trolley Car Cafe Fundraiser. Eat well and use the coupon to support Central. Diner: 7619 Germantown Ave., 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Cafe: 3269 S. Ferry Rd., check Cafe website for times.
- Tuesday, Oct. 22: Freshman Tea. Get to meet the 275 Class! Parent volunteers are needed for set-up before school and to serve at the refreshment tables.
- Wednesday, Oct. 23: Early dismissal. Professional development for teachers.

- Wednesday, Oct. 30: CHS Bulb Fundraiser deadline.
- Tuesday, Nov. 5: Election Day. No school. Teachers report for professional development.
- Wednesday, Nov. 6: No school. Teachers report for professional development.
- Thursday, Nov. 7: CHS College Fair. This is one of the best chances to visit representatives from a lot of fine colleges and universities who are here to meet your student. Philadelphia High School for Girls, 1400 West Olney Avenue, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 10: Philadelphia National College Fair. Pennsylvania Convention Center, Hall C, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 11: Veteran's Day observed. School closed.
- Wednesday, Nov. 13: Home & School Association meeting. Spain Conference Center, 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday & Friday, Nov. 28 & 29: Thanksgiving Holiday. School closed.
- Tuesday - Friday, Dec. 3 - 13: Keystone Exams.
- Wednesday, Dec. 4: Parent/Teacher Conferences. Afternoon & evening.
