Susan CarusoWe are having an amazingly musical month here at Sunflower!

 

Our 20th Anniversary Concert is May 4. The show features performances from members of our talented community, including Helena Redman, Christopher Ohanian, Julie Saccullo, Jim Barton, Joe and Bodhi Snider, Hannah and Dylan Glas, Dylan and Savion Cohen, Clarence Williams (and me!). This is our only fundraiser of the year, and we need your support. I hope to see everyone there!      

 

For 20 years my dear families have been asking that I record a tape (back in the day) or CD of music they could keep at home. I finally did it! Lullabies in the Garden: Celebrating 20 years of music with Sunflower Creative Arts is available for pre-order now. Read below to learn more. 

 

Finally, take a look at the gorgeous artwork included in this issue of the enews. Kate Lord and Kelly McMahon co-designed the logo for our 20th Anniversary Concert, and Haidor Truu and Maria Tempesta created the original drawings included on the Lullabies in the Garden CD. Many thanks to these talented Seedlings parents and Sunflower supporters for sharing their artistic voices with us!

Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center, Boca Raton

Tickets: $30 (VIP seating) and $15 (general admission)

Help a Sunflower family afford their tickets by paying $15 for a "You've got a friend" seat, which will be distributed by Susan.

Proceeds to benefit Sunflower's programs empowering families through play, nature and the arts.

Join us for Roots & Shoots weekly meetings! Wednesdays at 3:00 pm (Shooting Stars, ages 5-9) or 5:00 pm (Re-Cycos, ages 10-16), at Sunflower. No fee.

Boca Community Gardening Wraps Up
Our final service day for Roots & Shoots Boca Community Garden is May 4, 9:00 - 11:30. The
Re-Cycos Pizza Party will be held at Saint Andrew's Middle School, immediately following.   
 
Sunflower Roots & Shoots Re-Cycos members ages 12 and up will put our plots at the Boca Community Garden to rest for the summer. All produce will be donated to the Boca Helping Hands soup kitchen. Thanks to Betsy Pickup and Ellen Stone for once again donating their time and expertise to this project!
