Roots & Shoots News  Join us for Roots & Shoots weekly meetings! Wednesdays at 3:00 pm (Shooting Stars, ages 5-9) or 5:00 pm (Re-Cycos, ages 10-16), at Sunflower. No fee.
Gleaning Service Project
Thank you to members of Sunflower's Roots & Shoots clubs and their parents for volunteering last Saturday. They joined a group of about 100 volunteers organized by C.R.O.S. Ministries who gleaned peppers at a field donated by Bedner's Farm Fresh Market. Together, the volunteers filled about 250 boxes to be donated to those in need in Palm Beach County.
Primate Workshop in March at Lion Country Safari
Roots & Shoots will be holding our annual primate workshop/field trip on Saturday, March 9, 10:30am- 12:30pm, at Lion County Safari. Roots & Shoots members will use items brought from home (water bottles, paper towel rolls, pine cones, dried fruit, socks, etc.) to create stimulating and enriching toys for the chimps. Call 561 482-3412 to RSVP and request consent forms and a full list of items for the chimps.

More than 450 people came out to Patch Reef Park in Boca earlier this month to celebrate Sunflower's 20th Anniversary and Susan's 60th Birthday. Thank you to everyone who was there- and to Sunflower's staff, Board and 100 volunteers who worked hard to make the day a success.
