The geese have already begun landing in the field behind my house and the elk are wandering through as well. I think this is a sign that the fall season is near.

The mountain trails have been in good shape all summer.  With periodic rain to keep the dust down, it has been an excellent mountain biking season. If you are a bicycle enthusiast you are aware that the tour of Utah is in town right now. These athletes are absolutely amazing. What a great event for Utah and particularly Park City. It is very exciting to see and lots of fun to have this race come to town. If you are reading this please make a point of coming by our office at 625 Main Street on August 9th to see the final stage of this year's race. There is a lot of anticipation in the air for the upcoming ski season. We are all hoping for a lot of snow. Fortunately the summer has not been too hot and we have had more rain than average. This is all good. The ski resorts have been busy getting ready for the upcoming season. Park City Resort is installing new lifts and a gondola that will be the connector lift into Dutch Draw at Canyons.  They are also replacing the Snow Hut with a brand new lodge. I was up at the Utah Olympic Sports Park the other day and watched the Flying Ace Allstars. What a spectacular show.  All of the jumps into the pool have been replaced and upgraded with new state of the art ramps and surfaces. They have also installed a new world class climbing wall which arcs over the pool. If you have not seen this or taken part you should put it on your list of things to do while you are in town. There is so much to do at the Park you really need to take some time and enjoy all there is to offer there.

The real estate market has been very active this summer. There continues to be strong demand particularly for properties below $1.5 million both single family and condos. Inventories are good but shrinking. Home site sales have been strong as well. Every neighborhood, block, street and property is unique.
