We are now deep into the Fall season in Park City and the weather is changing again. Even though there are still some good bike riding days in the forecast we will be skiing very soon. The resorts have announced their opening dates and they have been making snow just in case Mother Nature shows up late.
Big things have been happening here in town with Vail purchasing Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley purchasing Solitude Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon. One Wasatch is a concept that is close to becoming a reality. Please see the article below. All of the seven resorts and Ski Utah are at the Table. Stay tuned.
Halloween is now history for another year. The dog parade and the costume party on Main Street were huge hits and a lot of fun. Now it is time to get ready for the Holiday Season. I hope that you are all going to be able to spend some time with your families over the next couple of months. Time seems to fly by and we are all so busy. Take the time, get together with those you love, reconnect and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

The One Wasatch concept plan to connect all seven of the ski areas in the central Wasatch Mountain range, near Park City, could be a boon for local skiers, businesses and real estate, creating one of the most talked about ski experiences in North America. Detractors say that it will destroy the environment and character of the area. Over 100 Summit Sotheby's International Realty sales associates were invited to a private meeting with Blaise Carrig, President of the Mountain Division at Vail Resorts, to hear about their plans for Park City Mountain Resort going forward. In a word - big. In three words, big and global.
Vail Resorts is readying some huge improvements to the facilities on the mountain that they'll make public later this year. Those improvements are in addition to their plan to connect Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons making the largest ski resort in the United States.
Those improvements should catapult Park City Mountain Resort into the upper-tier of ski resorts in the world which will create a positive impact on local real estate. Vail already owns resorts in Switzerland, Japan and France, which is part of their Epic Pass program. They already sell about a half million passes annually in 87 countries. The largest numbers of Epic Passes are sold in Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. Now Park City Mountain Resort joins the Canyons in that mix.
