I hope that you are all enjoying the new snow that we have had over the last few days. It is good to have some much needed moisture particularly in the form of snow. Gotta love the "Pineapple Express".

I thought that you might be interested to know how the market is doing so I am forwarding some stats which have been so kindly provided by Rick Klein a private mortgage banker and the Park City Board of Realtors Stats Committee.

Below are three graphs that show how demand has increased from 2009 thru 2013. The first graph shows the number of transactions per month from January of 2007 thru December of 2013. The second and third graph show total number of sales and total dollar volume respectively. As you can see the spring of 2009 was the lowest point for demand in our market place. Since the spring of 2009 we have seen a steady increase in demand. The total number of closed transactions for 2013 was just short of the number of closed transactions for 2007.

Total dollar volume has also increased fairly steadily since 2009 though we are still quite a bit short of the numbers reached in 2007.
