Bordeaux Wine Corks

Bonjour Bordeaux Wine Cruisers!

We hope you are enjoying these monthly updates.  If anyone has something to add or wants to share some information, please send it to me and we'll pass it on in the next installment.

APRIL 23, 2014 MEETING
Most of you have RSVP'd for this meeting.
If you haven't please try and clear your calendar as it will be an important information evening.

We'll have an opportunity to ask questions of the Viking Cruise Rep, and the travel agency Uniglobe Geo.  So start writing down your questions for them! It will help in your planning for this trip of a lifetime.
This meeting will be held at our store.  Yes, wine and snacks will be served!

The fifth installment of our Bordeaux info is here.  An overview of Bordeaux AOC's and Classifications - an important part of understanding this French Wine region. Also, I thought you might be interested to watch this little video I found on u tube.  I found it reassuring to learn that Bordeaux wines are not only for the rich and famous.  In fact, there are more "everyday" good Bordeaux produced by passionate small wineries than perhaps you realized. Many have long histories in the area, and are combining traditional wine making methods with a more modern, youthful approach.  Enjoy the video!

"Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing."
