To all our friends and customers we sincerely hope you managed to get through the bitter cold Christmas and New Year Season, especially here in Alberta. Hunkering in by a fireplace with a great glass of wine, or a hot toddy was definitely the order of the day!

2014. What wonderful possibilities does this year hold for you?  As the year looms out in front of us, some panic at the idea of filling it up, while others strategically plan projects, events, trips or set goals  to create things to look forward to. Where do you fit into this?

After a busy December and strong January, we are galloping into the Year of the Horse!  Our sold out Robbie Burns Scotch tasting at the end of January was a hit. The line-up of scotches impressive. Aalborg Akvavit, Jubileum and Gammeldansk  finally arrived in early January after a long trip from Europe. We pre-sold most of the shipment, and took a car load to our friends at The Danish Canadian Society in Calgary. If you missed out, we have some in the store.

The 2014 Olympic Games gets under way in Sochi Russia this month.  Not to be outdone, we are hosted our very own Vodka Olympics!  "You be the Judge!" at the store on February 11th. Read about this fun evening and the surprising results here.
JUST IN! VIP MEET THE WINEMAKER EVENT FEBRUARY 25TH.  From award winning Tawse Winery in Ontario, we are honoured to host esteemed Winemaker Paul Pender.  Register for this evening of great wine and stories right from the source.  

March we are hosting a Spanish Wines tasting with our In Store Sommelier, Ken Bracke. Spain is producing some magnificent wines, both affordable drink now, and age worthy. Join us March 11th.

We are also working on a VIP Winemaker's Dinner with Mick and Pam from ROAD 13 Winery in the Okanagan.

April 29th, Edmonton's first ever (and long overdue) B.C.Winefest is coming. Stay tuned for information on tickets to the evening  tasting, Wine Maker dinners, etc.  Our website will be the place to register.

Coming in May, the 2nd Annual Tequilafest! After a lengthy sojourn, we are pleased to bring back this fun, lively and educational event. Tequila has been a misunderstood beverage. It is becoming very popular in this market, and we have a large selection of premium tequilas on our shelves we want to share with you. Save the date-May 2nd with further details to be advised soon.

Be sure to drop by the store in February and take advantage of our St. Valentine's Massacre SALE!  Many great brand name products have been reduced between 10 - 30% off all month!  We need to make more room to bring in some new items.
