Important Changes to Charitable Solicitations Exemption Requirements
Until recently, organizations receiving less than $30,000 in gross contributions annually from the public were exempt from the TN State Division of Charitable Solicitations and Gaming annual registration requirement. As of July 1, 2014, organizations granted exemption status are now required to file the Exemption Request on an ANNUAL basis, six months after the end of their fiscal year. GivingMatters.com, accordingly, will be requiring proof of current exempt status from these organizations. Learn more at https://sgssos.tn.gov/Documents/ExemptInstructions.pdf.
