To celebrate the 2014 giving season, The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is hosting a Why I Give Year-End Video Contest through Wednesday, December 31. To be entered into the running for a $1,000 grant prize, complete these three easy steps: - Record a short video explaining why you give and/or why giving is important to you.
- Visit www.CFMT.org/give/whyigive to enter your name, email and video link.
- Get Social: "Like" The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee on Facebook, "Follow" @CFMT on Twitter, and use the share buttons at www.cfmt.org/give/whyigive/to let friends know you've entered!
Entries will be shared throughout the month of December via The Community Foundation's social media outlets. The winner will be selected by random drawing on the afternoon of 12/31/14.

Request for Proposals to Enhance Access to Transportation
Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee (RTA), seek grant applications from nonprofit organizations to assist in implementing their Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP).
The purpose of the CHSTP is to improve transportation services for persons with disabilities, older adults, and individuals with lower incomes by ensuring that communities coordinate transportation resources provided through federal programs - enhancing transportation access, minimizing duplication of services, and facilitating the most appropriate and cost effective transportation possible with available resources.
Eligible organizations will be located in the following counties: Davidson, Maury, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, Wilson.
Applications, available here, must be delivered to 430 Myatt Drive, Nashville, TN 37115, by 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015. For additional information, please refer to the RFP.

Tennessee Conference on Volunteerism and Service-Learning: Call for Proposals for Workshops/Exhibits
The Tennessee Conference on Volunteerism and Service-Learning is now accepting proposals for workshops and showcase exhibits for their upcoming  conference, March 8-10, 2015 in Franklin, TN. Workshop sessions last 1 hour and 15 minutes, and include a directed focus on selected topics with interaction and reflection among participants. Showcase exhibits focus on particular programs and projects and will be displayed in the exhibit hall.
