Are You Excellent at Volunteer Engagement?
Excellence in Volunteer Engagement (EVE), a certification program for Nashville's nonprofits, is the first effort of its kind in the nation. EVE recognizes nonprofits that employ high-quality volunteer management practices with the goal of increasing volunteerism in Davidson County through first-rate volunteer opportunities and experiences. EVE is presented by Mayor Karl Dean's office, the Center for Nonprofit Management, and Hands On Nashville. A panel of judges representing the volunteer community, nonprofits, and civic engagement leaders from the private sector determine which organizations qualify for the two-year certification. Spring 2014 applications will be available on February 25 and are due April 4. Visit www.hon.org/EVE for more information, or contact Elizabeth Madsen at elizabeth@hon.org.
